I use US H/8 or 5 mm hook with worsted-weight yarn. The size of large blanket is W 38” x L 57” and the size of small blanket is ~ W 34” X L 36”. You could extend the length of each blanket.

This pattern lets you to create the different sizes blankets to fit babies, toddlers, younger kids, teenagers and adults.
